Payment and Insurance

All payments are made electronically. Payment information, informed consent, and a fee agreement must be in place before services can begin (including groups). You are ultimately responsible for any balance incurred by the services you receive. A $10 late fee may applied if payment is not received within three days of the service provided. Our administrative assistant, Jules, will check your insurance benefits for you to find out the details of your plan and confirm whether or not we are in-nework before getting started. You are ultimately responsible for knowing and understanding the specifics of your insurance coverage and plan. You may have a balance if you begin services without being fully informed about the details of your specific plan, the amount of your copay, and whether or not your deductible has been met. There are no fees for people with active OHP as their primary insurance plan for mental healthcare. You may use your HSA/FSA or a CareCredit card for payment. The Pursuit of Wellness has contracts with OHPOptum, United Healthcare, Providence, Regence, Cigna, and PacificSource. However, each plan is different, and you may have a deductible to meet and/or a copay for services. If we are not in-network with your plan, we can request a single case agreement (an exception that allows you to pay only your copay) or bill out-of-network for partial coverage. Please let us know if you have more than one insurance provider and which is primary. You can also use your HSA/FSA or CareCredit to pay for services.

Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be made more than 24 hours prior to the scheduled visit to avoid a late fee. Cancellations and missed visits incur your provider's full regular fee and are not billable to insurance. You can contact us through secure messaging in the client portal, email, text, or call to cancel. Fees are the same for in-person, video, and phone visits. If you are using insurance and miss a visit or cancel in under 24 hours, you are responsible to pay your provider's full standard rate. There are no cancellation fees associated with groups. There are no cancellation or late fees for people with active OHP as their primary insurance plan.

Ketamine-assisted therapy visits with TPOW providers are covered by insurance. If TPOW is in-network with your plan, you may use your insurance to pay for KAP services. Psychiatric assessment and prescription of ketamine are not included, and are provided by Journey Clinical. To participate in KAP, you must be referred by an enrolled TPOW therapist. Costs for KAP via Journey Clinical include: $250 for the initial medical evaluation to determine eligibility and $88 for two at-home guided ketamine sessions. Cost for a follow-up with the prescriber and six more ketamine sessions is $298. Your TPOW providers would love to assist you in this process. Total cost for the initial evaluation and 8 ketamine dosing sessions are $636, paid directly to Journey Clinical. Journey now accepts Cigna insurance in Washington State.

Please note: Most services are via telehealth only, with the option to meet at our in-person office at 1110 SE Alder St in Portland, or in the community locally when available. We are generally available during business hours, but may be meeting with other clients/peers and unable to take your call or get back to you for 2-3 business days. Please try email, texting, or calling. To reach the practice owner and clinical supervisor, you may email Wilde.TPOW@gmail.com. To reach the peer services supervisor, you may email Nautilus.TPOW@gmail.com. We are not available for 24-hour crisis support or outside of our typical hours, which may vary by provider. Please call 911, 988, non-emergency, or your local crisis hotlines if needed. We are sex-positive and we support individuals in non-traditional relationships, such as polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, and platonic partnerships, as well as folks within the LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and Native/ Indigenous communities. We align with the basic premises of the Health At Every Size (HAES) model, which does not ascribe to typical societal beliefs and expectations associated with weight, physical attraction, body size, or BMI. Sarah, Reyah, and Julia are working toward LPC licensure through the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists. You are welcome to contact the Board with any concerns or complaints.
