Peer Support
The Pursuit of Wellness is passionate about including the voices, input, and valuable lived and living experiences of peer support specialists (PSS) and certified recovery mentors (CRM) in mental health services. Our peer team is supervised by Nautilus Torello, PSS (he/him), who has almost a decade of professional peer experience. Peer-delivered services continue to gain traction as more folx recognize its powerful impact on mental wellness and recovery. Peers use mutuality to strategically relate, intentionally co-learn alongside the people they're supporting (rather than a helper-helpee dynamic), and encourage personal exploration from an open place of curiosity. Scroll down for additional peer resources.
Although therapy and peer support can complement each other beautifully, you do not need to be enrolled in therapy at TPOW (or at all) to receive peer support here. For OHP members, peer services are free. For all others, the cost is $30 per hour for groups and/or individual peer support. Please click here or contact Nautilus to get started, or reach out directly to the peer you're interested in connecting with. Scroll down to meet the peer team.
No attendance commitment is required. Groups are for Oregon residents age 18+.
